Closure of Plan Navigators

Dear Plan Navigators, people, families, and supporters.

We are sad to inform you that, with the support of our Board, Plan Navigators has made the very difficult decision to cease its services by end of December 2024. Plan Navigators can no longer sustain the financial viability of providing a high-quality, person-centred Support Co-ordination or Plan Management services. We will close our Support Coordination service by 30th September 2024 and Plan Management Service by 20th December 2024. This decision, made by the Board, was not made lightly.

The organisation has been managing, over the last few years, the increased costs to wages and insurance, travel, cost of being a Registered Provider of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and maintaining this registration.

To add to this complexity, for the past 4 years or more, the National Disability Insurance Scheme has not increased the hourly rate or payments (price guide rate) for Support Coordination and Plan Management. This means the cost of delivering these services is now more than the amount we can charge. The organisation has been covering these extra costs and is unable to continue to do this.

During the transition period, our priority remains to meet people’s immediate needs and provide support through the transition to an alternative trusted provider of the person’s choosing. We understand that this change will be challenging. We are here to assist people and their supports throughout this process.
